Inventories Down - Prices Up - New Development
2016 was a big year for real estate in Baja. Inventories have significantly shrunk in the most popular resorts. Expectedly prices have begun on an upward trajetory. There are still some great deals but it looks like they will be fewer and more difficult to find.
A a result there are new listings coming online and developers have begun to add new inventory. Club Marenas latest phase is called SeaHouz and promises to set a new standard for luxury living on the coast. La Jolla Excellence is moving forward at a dramatic pace. Rosarito's Remodel
The Playas de Rosarito Zona Turistoco (downtown) as well as the surrounding areas of the Rosarito municipality have undergone an amazing transformation in the last few years. An International Convention Center (the Baja Center), A performing arts center, A sports arena, National Tennis Center, A Rodeo Arena, a huge children's park as well as many new night clubs, bars and restaurants have been built in the last couple years. Additionally the downtown area has been re-branded as a proper "Zona Turistica". There are cafe sidewalks, a broad center divide with palms, lighting and fountains and a pedestrian zone with shopping, diing & night life. There is a great series of videos chronicling this. All this has brought people back to Baja and we now see real estate turning the corner. With the improvement in the US market and the better perception of the Baja area we see only a positive trend for the market in the year to come.
